- 1 Bottle of Red Wine (That you would drink on its own!)
- 2 Oranges- Juice of both, zest of one
- 3 Cinnamon Sticks
- 3 Cloves
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Nutmeg
- 1/3 Cup of Agave/Honey/Date Syrup
Mulled wine makes me so happy. Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year and anything that tastes, smells or looks like Christmas makes me all warm and fuzzy. Mulled wine can’t really be that nutritious as its mostly just alcohol, but a little alcohol does no harm and this is definitely one indulgence not to be deprived of. This is my healthy-est version and it only takes seconds to prepare. While you wait you can curl up by the fire as the kitchen fills with christmasy aromas.
Add all of the ingredients to a pot on medium heat, just as it starts to bubble, turn the heat down a bit and let it simmer and infuse for 10-15 minutes.
Serve and enjoy by the fire.
