Nut Butter Protein Cups


  • 2 Scoops of Vanilla Protein (I like Form Nutrition)
  • 3 Tablespoons of Runny Nut Butter
  • 1/2 Cup of Unsweetened Nut Milk (125ml)
  • 150g of Dark Chocolate
  • 1 Teaspoon of Coconut Oil
  • Optional: Flaked Almonds etc

 Usually for this kind of treat I make my cookie dough cups almond butter cups or nut butter jam cups but the other day I wanted a bit of extra protein so I decided to add it in and it tasted amazing. These are so easy and delicious.


Start by melting your chocolate. When it’s melted add in the coconut oil and stir it until silky smooth. Place about a teaspoon and a half of the melted chocolate into each cupcake case and put it in the freezer to set while you make the filling.

Blend together the protein, almond butter and almond milk in a food processor until you have a smooth paste.

Take out the chocolate from the freezer and evenly divide the protein mixture between the four. Pour about 2 teaspoons of the melted chocolate over each one.

Either pop them in the freezer as they are or decorate with some flaked almonds like I did. Leave them in the freezer until the chocolate hardens and then enjoy! Store them in the fridge.

    Indy, these sound delicious! Do you have a recommendation for dark Chocolate or perhaps a suggestion for cocoa %?

      I love Ombar chocolate, it’s raw so you get all the cacao goodness! You can get it in most good health shops and online. In general I recommend 70%+ but the higher the better!x
