Hummus Two Ways

Ingredients

For Plain Hummus:

  • 240g of Soaked Chickpeas (1 Can)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Tahini
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Cumin
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • 3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons of Chickpea Water
  • Coarse Salt

For Sun-dried Tomato Hummus:

  • 240g of Soaked Chickpeas (1 Can)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Tahini
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • Approx 8 Sun Dried Tomatoes + 3 Tablespoons of Their Oil
  • 4 Tablespoons of Chickpea Water
  • Coarse Salt

This is my fool proof way to make hummus, two ways- good old regular and with a sundried tomato boost. Nothing beats home made and this is so easy there’s no excuse to buy it from the shop!

Hummus 3

Drain the chickpea water into a bowl.  Add the chickpeas to your food processor with the tahini, garlic, lemon juice, and a good pinch of coarse salt and pepper. If you’re making regular, add the cumin in and if you’re making sundried tomato then add these in now too. Blend on high until smooth.

While blending, gradually pour in the oil, followed by the chickpea water

Blend until smooth
