Prawns Pil Pil

IMG_4115
Ingredients

  • 150g of Prawns, Deveined
  • 4-5 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Medium Chili

Prawns Pil Pil is one of my favourite things but for some reason I only ever seem to have them on holidays! The other day the craving was too much and I decided to make my own version. I’ve already made them twice since… so it’s safe to say this is definitely going to be one of go-to recipes! With just four ingredients and basically no prep time you could be eating these in less than 10 minutes!

Start by finely chopping the garlic and the chili.

Add coconut oil to a small saucepan on medium/high heat. Use a small saucepan so that the oil is nice and deep. Add in the garlic and chili and let it sizzle away for about 2 minutes.

Add the prawns in and toss them around to coat them in the garlicy chili oil. If using fresh prawns cook for about 4 minutes until their no longer translucent and are pink/orange and plump, if they’re precooked then only cook them for about 2 minutes.

Divide the prawns into your individual servings and pour the remaining oil over them. Serve with a sprinkling of parsley and a wedge of lemon.
